41- Punt Vierkant
Dive site number 41 - Punt Vierkant, just after Ocean Oasis, is a lesser-known dive site on Bonaire. This is mainly due to the challenging entry and exit: the bottom is very uneven, and in rough weather conditions, waves can occur. These waves can stir up sand, which may reduce visibility. Despite the tricky entry and exit, Punt Vierkant is a beautiful reef to explore. The site remains shallow for a long distance, making it ideal for relaxed diving and extended underwater exploration. Just next to the dive site is one of my favorite restaurants, Ocean Oasis. After a day of diving, I like to come back here to enjoy the stunning sea view and the relaxed tropical atmosphere.

💡Personal advice💡
- The entry and exit at Punt Vierkant can be challenging. Pay close attention to where you place your feet to walk safely and carefully into the water.
- Personally, I never visit the second reef at Punt Vierkant. It exists, but it is located at depths of 140 feet or more.
- Although getting in and out of the water can be challenging, Punt Vierkant remains a pleasant dive site thanks to its beautiful, shallow first reef.
