The Cadushy Distillery
The Cadushy Distillery is a fun and educational activity on Bonaire where you can see how the island’s famous cactus liqueur is made. This liqueur is called Cadushy and is produced from the kadushi cactus, a plant that is common on Bonaire. The distillery is located in Rincon, the oldest village on the island, which also gives the visit a cultural touch. A tour is completely free and gives you a good idea of the traditional production process.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed warmly and offered a glass of Cadushy liqueur to taste. During the tour, they explain how the cactus is harvested, processed, and ultimately transformed into liqueur.
